ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Caring for another person requires more than compassion. It requires knowledge, safety awareness, communication, practical ability and confidence.
The Diploma in Nursing Aide & Caregiving is designed to develop fundamental caregiving and healthcare-support skills through classroom learning and practical training.
Students learn how to support individuals in areas such as personal care, mobility, hygiene, vital-sign observation, feeding support, elderly care, basic emergency response and other relevant care activities.
The programme is particularly suited to working adults who want to strengthen their caregiving knowledge or prepare themselves for further opportunities in the care sector.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

Demonstrate safe basic caregiving practices in simulated care environments.

Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including hygiene, positioning, mobility and comfort.

Apply appropriate infection-control and hand-hygiene practices.

Understand and observe basic vital signs and recognise situations requiring escalation to qualified healthcare personnel.

Support elderly persons and individuals requiring assistance with dignity, patience and respect.

Assist with appropriate feeding, oral hygiene and personal-care practices.

Demonstrate basic first-aid, choking-response and emergency-awareness skills within the student's scope of training.
